Your Hampta Pass Trek adventure begins in Manali. Meet the representative in Manali and have your breakfast. After the meal, get transferred to Jobra, the starting point of the trek. Get briefed about the trail and the other necessary information from your trek leader and start your trek to Chika. The trail is relatively easy and is ideal for acclimatization. Reach Chika for an overnight stay in camps.
Wake up, have breakfast & get ready to trek towards Balu ka Ghera. Today's trek is relatively longer and involves a gradual ascent. Arrive at Balu ka Ghera and settle down at this base for the day. Have lunch, and spend the rest of the time admiring the surreal beauty of the region. Overnight stay at the campsite in Balu ka Ghera.
Wake up, have breakfast and get ready for yet another adventurous day. Today, you'll be crossing Hampta Pass, which is the highlight of the trek. Take a brief stopover at Hampta village, which gives the pass its name and then continue your descent from Hampta Pass towards Siagoru. Arrive at the Siagoru campsite, which is situated at an altitude of approximately 12,900 feet. Overnight stay at the campsite in Siagoru.
Wake up and have breakfast. Start your descent towards Chatru, a confluence of three paths – Hampta Pass, Spiti, and Rohtang Pass, this green paradise in the barren cold desert is like a breath of fresh air. The trail will take you through beautiful meadows and offer views of the surrounding valleys. Meet the representative there who will take you to Chandrataal Lake to enjoy the breathtaking vistas. Drive back towards Chatru for an overnight stay.
Begin your day early, as you'll have a long drive ahead of you. After breakfast, start your drive towards Manali. The drive will take you through some of the most stunning landscapes in the region. One of the highlights of the journey is the Atal Tunnel, which is the longest highway tunnel in the world at an altitude of 10,040 feet. Your Hampta Pass Trek comes to an end as you arrive in Manali. Take a bag full of memories to cherish for eternity.

Deep inside the mystic regions of Himachal Pradesh lies the enchanting Trek. It's a complete trek with its contrasting landscape of flowers, waterfalls, streams, and forests of Kullu valley on one side and a vast expanse of dry and desolate mountains of the valley on the other.
Hampta Pass trekking is one that can be done any time regardless of the season. Still the most suitable to enjoy each moment of the trek are the months from Mid June to September . During this time, the temperature level will be in an average of 13 to 18 degree Celsius during day time and it drops to a low of 0 degree Celsius at night.
In October, the temperature drops down ever more. June has a special place in Hampta Pass trekkers' mind and the reason behind it is the snow. So, a lot of adventure lovers have pointed out that mid June can be considered as the best time to do a thrilling trek to Hampta Pass.
To reach the Hampta pass, you would first need to reach the base camp of the trek. You can drive or take a cab from Manali to Jobra, which is the base of the Hampta Pass Trek. It is about 18 KM away and will take around 2 hours to reach. After that, you can start your 2-day trek to the Hampta Pass. You will be walking and hiking for a total of 35 KM to the pristine valleys.
Almost moderately warmer climate can be experienced at Hampta Pass if you choose June and July and the day temperature varies from 13 to 18 degree Celsius and it falls into 0 to 7 degree Celsius at night. When it comes to September, the climate will become colder with slightly lower temperature during day time as well as at night. There will be snow fall at different points on the trek till early days of July and if it is raining, then the snow will melt away.
The Hampta pass trek is about 35 KM long and takes you to the beautiful segments of the Dhauladhar range. The trek begins from Manali and takes you to the Chikka that is located at an elevation of 10,000 ft. above the ground. On the second day, you can head to Balu ka Khera for about 5 hours where you can take a look at the snow laced displays. On the final day, you will be heading to Siaguru that will be your final camping destination. From here you can drive to Chadar Tal and gape at the constellations along with the stellar views of nature.
Hampta Pass Trekking is considered as a moderate trek. The major reason for this is the atmospheric pressure that changes as you trek higher. The weather conditions are also one of the reasons for the moderate difficulty of the trek. On this trek, you would be climbing up to 14,100 ft and will pass through several rivers, valleys, and thick jungles.
